I recently visited Madison's in Buford SC and had an amazing experience. The atmosphere was very cool and laid-back, which made for a great hangout spot. Although the restaurant wasn't the fanciest, it definitely wasn't the cheapest either. What really stood out to me was the food. I ordered the fresh catch red snapper with seafood grits that included scallops and shrimp, and it was absolutely delicious. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection, and the grits were the perfect complement. Overall, I would highly recommend this dish to anyone who loves seafood. If you're in Buford SC and looking for a great place to enjoy some tasty seafood, Madison's is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed, and the food is top-notch. I will definitely be coming back again soon!! Y’all rock!!!

I can't express the shear delight of our dinner at Madison's. From the second you enter the restaurant to the second you leave the staff makes you feel like family, truthfully we didn't want to leave because we were having such a good time with the staff and tge other guests around us. The food is phenomenal! The hardest part about ordering is deciding what to get because everything sounds so good. The seafood is so fresh like it just came off of the boat. We shared our food because we wanted to try a little of everything. I loved the fried green tomatoes they were so light most places bury them in heavy breading. The seafood pasta was delicious. The crab stuffed mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The garden and grits was my favorite I absolutely love this dish!! You definitely get your monies worth. If you leave hungry it is your own fault!!

I had the calamari, seafood etoufee, and cheesecake. The calamari and seafood etoufee were delicious! My server Chris gave excellent customer service!

Wonderful place to grab some good food and enjoy the quaint yet cool town of Port Royal. I love these little places where a historic house is transformed into a restaurant. At Madison's you get an at home vibe with a little sparkle of sophistication. Oh yeah let's talk about the most important part..food! We all ordered different dishes and shared two appetizers on the menu without any disappointment in taste or portions. We came for lunch and were immediately greeted by the friendly smiles of their staff. I had the house burger-it's topped with a layer of sweet and smokey bacon jam then a big scoop of gooey pimento cheese. The burger was seasoned nicely where you could still taste the beef yet the flavors were elevated to match the showstopping toppers. I usually focus more on the main dish, but OMG the hand cut fries are aaaammazing! I had to cover my plate to prevent myself from devouring every single one of those bad boys. I have had a ton of hand cut fries and I believe these are one of the best, if not The Best fries I have ever had. Do not leave without ordering the fries-super crispy yet not overcooked or greasy. We were kinda hungry so I forgot to take pics of the appetizers, but they were great. We shared the crispy yet tender calamari and the various deviled eggs topped with different ingredients like shrimp, pimento cheese, etc. My hubby ordered the seafood basket with fried flounder and oysters. The seafood was cooked perfectly! Light, crispy batter that doesn't fall off when you take your first bite or when you dip it in tartar sauce. Everyone at our table loved their food-Shrimp and grits, Seared tuna salad, Mahi Mahi sandwich, and a Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Don't leave town until you have tried this place.

Apps: outstanding. Hearty tomato soup, light calamari, perfect deviled eggs, fried green tomatoes were like nachos Cocktails: good selection of beers, excellent Cypress Sazerac. Entrees: memorable Atlantic Redfish(cooked perrrrrfectly) and grits,, Steak Au Poirve, Lemon Chicken, Seafood Platter. Dessert: beignets(wow). Most important-Service: Celiacs and Mammal food concerns treated with consistency and authenticity. They truly showed concern. Made the whole evening special for us all. 100% chance of us returning.

Cute old building with nice casual and cozy feeling inside. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helped suggest some of their favorites. The food I had was good, I had the basket with fried scallops and fish. The color of the batter was perfect golden (so, good on them for keeping clean fryers!) The food here was very close to five stars, I just wish the fish serving had been a little crisper (the batter was a little soggy in spots, but still edible). I think for the overall plate portion, the price was good...HUGE amount of fresh cut fries. Nice spot for lunch while in the beautiful little town of Port Royal.

We had a really nice lunch at Madison's today. It's a lovely building, with an airy comfortable feel both inside and on the porch, where we were. There was no wait for a table when we arrived. Hannah was our server and was very attentive and helpful. The food was outstanding! Both of us had the cream of tomato sauce and loved it...unfortunately we ate it too fast to take a photo! I had the Seared Rare Tuna, and it was perfect. My friend had the Fried Green Tomatoes, which I tried and we both thought they were excellent. Very glad to have tried this restaurant, and highly recommend!
